October 5th, 2021 was the official release date for Microsoft’s newest operating system, Windows 11. Unlike Windows 10, which was specifically designed to run on older hardware, Windows 11 requires relatively new hardware and will not install as an upgrade on older PCs. Most PCs designed and sold in 2019 or later will work with Windows 11. It will be a FREE software upgrade for Windows 10 users who have compatible systems.
Have no fear if you don’t want to make the change! With Windows 10 staying supported by Microsoft until 2025 you have time to either update your system to Windows 11 or, if need be, purchase a newer system pre-loaded with Windows 11.
